How she captured my heart . . .

Date: September 12, 2013
Occasion:  43rd Wedding Anniversary
Place: North Beach PAWS, 2222 SR 109, Hoquiam, WA

While at NB PAWS we were given an awesome tour by Molly High. We toured the Cat House, Dog House, a large pole building filled with wonderful miscellaneous items for an ongoing garage sale and the well kept grounds--including a Freedom Fenced in area for dogs to run and play.
The Cat House is a two story house filled with many lovely cats waiting for someone to take them to their forever homes.
As we entered the upstairs green room I turned toward the closet shelf-sliding doors removed-where I was greeted by a lovely pure white cat. She graciously allowed me to scratch her behind the ears and take her picture. As I panned to the right to take more shots of the many feline occupants I caught site of the same pure white cat now perched so daintily on a small table. I scratched behind her ears again and of course took another shot. Continuing on I panned back to my left and who should show up again directly in my eye/camera shot but the pure white Snowball. I obliged her yet another shot and left the room.
After returning home I loaded the many photos of our tour onto the computer--including several shots of the pure white cat in the green room. No matter what I did to occupy my mind . . . Snowball's face continued to haunt me. I just could not get her out of my mind.

By September 27th, George and I were back at the shelter adopting the sweet beauty. On the way home Snowball was such a good little traveler. The trip took almost three hours but she slept most of the way snuggled in her new carrier.
Her adopted name is Snowball and she is reported to be a Turkish Angora/Domestic Longhair Mix. Snowball has a royal attitude of a dainty little princess thus the new name--Princess Snowball.
She now spends a good portion of her day sitting on her throne in what she believes to be her room, granting audiences as it suits her.

As Princess Snowball allows . . . I shall add photos and stories of her little Majesty's days with her forever family.

If you are looking for a new cat or dog . . . may we recommend the NB PAWS100% No Kill Shelter near Ocean Shores, WA. A great place for rescued animals waiting for their Forever Families/Homes!
